FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
The things people ask me most, grouped by topic. Can’t find yours? Ask me on the discovery call, or send a WhatsApp.
Working with me
Who will actually work on my account?
Me. I work alone, so the person you speak to on the discovery call is the person who logs into your account, builds your campaigns and sends your reports. No juniors, no hand-offs.
Do you work with businesses outside South Africa?
Yes. I’m based in Cape Town and work with clients in South Africa, the UK and the US, and I’ve worked with businesses in Kenya too. Cape Town is on UK working hours, which makes calls easy.
How much does Google Ads management cost?
It depends on how many campaigns you run and how hands-on you want me to be. Your ad spend is separate and is paid straight to Google. After the discovery call I send a tailored proposal with a clear, fixed fee.
Will I own my Google Ads account?
Always. The account, the data and the tracking belong to you. If we ever stop working together, you keep everything.
I’ve never run Google Ads. Can you still help?
Yes. Some of my favourite coaching clients started from zero. If my mom can understand Google Ads, so can you.
What happens on the discovery call?
We spend about thirty minutes on your goals and what is happening in your account now. You leave with an honest view of whether Google Ads is the right move and what is holding your results back. If there is a fit, I send a tailored proposal.
Management
How much does Google Ads management cost?
It depends on the size of your account and how hands-on you want me to be. After the discovery call I send a tailored proposal with a clear, fixed fee. Your ad spend is separate and is paid directly to Google, so you always see exactly what the clicks cost.
Is there a minimum contract?
No lock-in. We work month to month. I’d rather keep you because it’s working than because a contract says so. I do suggest giving a new account three months to settle, because Google’s systems need data to learn.
How much should I spend on ads?
It depends on your market and what a customer is worth to you. As a rough guide, most small businesses I work with spend between R5 000 and R50 000 a month with Google. I’ll give you a realistic number on the discovery call.
How soon will I see results?
Search campaigns can bring enquiries within days. Getting to a steady, profitable account usually takes two to three months of testing and tuning. If tracking needs fixing first, we start there.
White label
Will you ever contact our client?
No. I never contact your clients, and I never pitch to them, during our work together or after it. That’s in writing, in the agreement we both sign.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, an NDA and a non-solicitation agreement before you share any client details.
Can reports go out under our brand?
Yes. Reports and dashboards carry your branding, and I can join calls as part of your team if you want me to.
Audits
What’s the difference between the basic and advanced audit?
The basic audit checks the foundations: tracking, structure, settings and obvious waste. The advanced audit covers all 30 questions, including Performance Max, remarketing, Display and Video, and comes with a full roadmap and a walkthrough call.
Do I need to give you access to my account?
Yes, read-only access is enough. You stay the owner, and you can remove me the moment the audit is done.
Who is an audit for?
Anyone running Google Ads who wants a second opinion: business owners, fractional CMOs, marketing managers, and agencies checking an account before a pitch or a handover.
Setup and tracking
Can you set up Google Ads for a brand-new business?
Yes. I’ll set up the account in your name, install conversion tracking, build the first campaigns and show you how it all fits together.
What is a restructure?
Rebuilding an existing account so the budget goes where it earns the most. It usually means fewer, cleaner campaigns, better tracking, and keywords grouped around what you actually sell.
Do you set up GA4 and Google Tag Manager?
Yes. GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking for forms, calls, WhatsApp and purchases, and enhanced conversions where it helps.
Coaching
I’ve never used Google Ads. Is coaching for me?
Yes. I’ve coached complete beginners and agency paid media managers. We start wherever you are. If my mom can understand Google Ads, so can you.
How long is a session?
Two hours. In my experience people start to tire after that, and two hours is enough to learn something properly and practise it.
Is it online or in person?
Online by screen share, wherever you are. If you’re in or around Cape Town, I’m happy to teach in person.
Do we work in my own account?
Ideally, yes. Learning on your own campaigns is faster and stickier than any example. If you don’t have an account yet, we build one together.
Team training
Is the training accredited?
No. It isn’t SETA or Google accredited, and it isn’t trying to be. It’s practical training built around your team’s real accounts and problems. For a certificate, Google Skillshop is free.
How many people can attend?
Workshops work best with up to about 12 people, so everyone gets hands-on time and can ask questions.
Online or in person?
Both. Online anywhere, or in person in Cape Town. Travel elsewhere can be arranged.

Thirty minutes, no charge. We look at what is working, what is not, and whether Google Ads is right for you. If I can help, a proposal follows. If I can’t, I’ll tell you.

You’ll speak to me, not a sales rep. And I’m the one who works on your account.
